3 Important Questions to Get in Touch with Your Passions
Posted on September 16 2014
Passion. What is it? How does it apply to our lives? How does it give our lives meaning? So often we get stuck in the routine of surviving that we forget to live – we forget that one of the most crucial aspect of living well is not only having a purpose, but living that purpose with passion. Without passion we cease to know why we are here – we struggle to understand why we strive and what we are striving for. Without passion, we foster an energy of dissatisfaction that takes a toll on our physical, emotional, and mental health. Here are 3 important questions to help you check-in with your passion. *Do you have energy?
When you wake up in the morning, do you feel a general excitement about living – a surge of life energy that fuels your day? Or do you feel depleted, drained, and unmotivated? If your energy is generally low, chances are you’re not in touch with the energy that makes you come alive. It’s important to ask yourself what you feel passionate about (even if it’s as simple as going on a walk in nature). Connect each day to something you feel passionate about – it will do wonders for your overall energy. *Are your desires alive or dead? Many people are terrified of desire because they believe it creates the energy of discontentment. They fear that to desire anything would take them out of the present moment and put their happiness somewhere in the future. But this doesn’t have to be the case. The truth is, everything is creation is fueled by desire. Every film, piece of poetry, miraculous healing, and even nature itself was created from a Source of desire. Without desire, there would be no progression – there would be no new creations. Get to know the energy of desire and see where it leads you. Desire does not have to equal discontentment – desire can be the energy the drives you to be fully present in this moment – creating and moving with the energies that move mountains. Do you know you know you create own reality? Your life is an accumulation of your thoughts. Esoterics, mystics, spiritual teaches (like Jesus), and leaders have been teaching this for thousands of years. If you still operate under a belief that your life is controlled by some external force, chances are your desires have been depleted. Volumes of books have been written on this subject of thoughts/emotions and how they create our reality, so if you’re still wondering about this reality, do some research and look around in your own life for evidence of how you are currently creating your reality. Notice how the way you feel affects how you think, and the way you think effects how you live. One you realize you create your own reality, your desires are set free to move into the fruition of their creations.
